The 8:00am Liturgy is accompanied by a student guitarist, a harpist, and Darla Tritt, keyboard. We have faithful choir members who regularly sing at this Mass. Come join this group if you are a regular early bird Mass attendee and like to sign or play an instrument.

Our 10:30am Mass is sung by the adult choir, directed by Darla Tritt, and accompanied by Anne Windholz and Nathaniel VanWeinen. Often many high school and college students join us through the year playing the trumpet, clarinet, and flute. New choir members and instrumentalists are always welcome!

Saturday 5:00pm Mass Jennifer Engles is the 5:00pm cantor as well as cantor for funerals. Jay Hansen accompanies her on guitar. This Mass is open for more choir members to join Jennifer.

Sue Pendergast is our sub keyboard accompanist for funerals. New keyboardists wanting to learn to sub should contact Darla Tritt. Anyone interested in canting should also contact Darla.

Darla Tritt, our new Music Coordinator, has been the music teacher at St. Bridget School in Loves Park for almost 30 years. She has a Music Education degree and an endorsement in English.

Coming from a very musically oriented family, Darla watched her brother and older sister. Fr. Don encouraged her to sing while he accompanied her on the piano. She was the organist when she attended St. Edward School, played at the Tuesday night devotions in Second Grade, and then went on to learn the Latin Mass parts and other hymns. One summer all the children in the neighborhood were the choir and Darla was the organist. Darla says, I am happy to assist at St. Catherine and it is a blessing to find others that just love church music and want to praise God with their music, too.

Our new practice schedule is on

Sundays at 9:15am between Masses

in the Choir Room
